In the former school on Pieterskerkhof, four artists are exhibiting new work that is directly related to the building.
For many years, the school was home to the Old School cultural meeting place and is now being transformed into the future ‘House of Leyden’. The building is in a state of transition: between memory and future, between peeling away and rebuilding.
In this exhibition, the artists approach the building not only as a backdrop but as a living archive: of memory, use, and meaning. The visible and invisible structures, architectural, social, and mental, form the starting point for work that looks, listens, and feels for what has been deposited in time.
