ROEM: Living Fields Exhibition

Can a robot researcher make real discoveries?  Is a breakup like a black hole? What can we learn from lichens? If ice could speak, what might it say?   For ‘Living Fields’, five artists from the ROEM Foundation make new works that investigate how meaning moves through matter, in collaboration with several Leiden partner institutions. These works will raise - and attempt to answer - questions about the impact of cutting edge science on everyday life, from global geopolitics to local communities to personal relationships.   Participating artists:    Anna Spiliotopoulou Sam Wilson Fletcher Mikkel Olthof Jeroen van Wijk & Lucas Mantel
